They have been sending their oldest (I think he's a 2nd grader now?) to Kumon to do both English and Japanese - he goes to Japanese school. I thought that was a great idea - perhaps an expensive one - but it works well for them.

I'm not sure if we will be here or in the US when the time comes for us. To answer your question, Hana is still in Japanese preschool in the morning. when it comes time for her to start Elementary (April '11) we aren't sure what we are going to do yet. At this point we are sort of hoping the public school will work with us, and allow her to take some extra hours away from class to continue home school. We sort of want to keep her on a track where she can choose when she gets older which path she wants to take, Japanese school or full time home school leading to college in America (or somewhere abroad if she wants). We don't want to make that decision for her, but we will see how it all works out. what are you guys thinking?Marlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11705369708025006056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25372920.post-39530405162496582009-09-04T08:26:48.556+09:002009-09-04T08:26:48.556+09:00That's great, Marla! Just wondering and thinking - for ourselves someday!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05848246862878846083noreply@blogger.com
